Guests will experience an awe-inspiring boat ride through mangroves, one of the most vital ecosystems in the world. Damas Island, located just 10 minutes from Manuel Antonio is currently one of the most important remaining mangroves in Costa Rica, covering thousands of acres of protected forest. It is home to an astonishing variety of birds, reptiles, mammals and insects. Our experienced guides will take guests through a silent boat ride through the mangrove channels. They might be able to spot white-faced monkeys, anteaters, boas, iguanas, birds and thousands of colorful crabs. We will also travel through salty waters and passing through islands. Halfway we will stop for a moment in a quiet place to enjoy a bottle of white wine, with fruit skewers and cheeses, while watching the secrets of the forest unfold.

This tour is ideal for adventure lovers. On our way we will stop to enjoy a typical Costa Rican breakfast at Silencio Village. Upon arrival guides will provide guests with all the equipment and important security tips. Guests will experience a 13-mile journey, paddling across roaring class-II, III and IV rapids. As they float down the Savegre River, they will pass through scenic forests and have the opportunity to spot an array of wildlife. On most trips, rafters will observe egrets, osprey, toucans, parrots, kingfishers, cormorants, and many other species. On our way back to Manuel Antonio, guests will enjoy a delicious Costa Rican lunch at Silencio Village.

Manuel Antonio is one of the most renowned national parks in our country due to its beautiful beaches and wide variety of wildlife including 4 rare monkey species, sloths, iguanas among others. A nature guide will take guests through 3 miles of scenic nature trails. We will make a stop to relax and enjoy a picnic lunch at a stunning white sand beach located within the national park. Please consider that the park is closed on Mondays.
